Bubu Island Books of the Month: July

At Bubu Island, we know that reading is about much more than learning words. Through stories, children develop language, empathy, curiosity, emotional understanding, and a lifelong love of learning.
We've selected five books that we think are perfect companions for summer days.
And one more thing: don't be surprised if your child wants to read the same book over and over again. While it may occasionally test your patience, repetition is actually one of the ways young children learn best. Hearing the same words and stories repeatedly helps strengthen language development, memory, and comprehension.
Just as importantly, familiar stories provide children with a sense of comfort and security. Knowing what will happen next and hearing the same ending each time helps them make sense of the world and builds confidence in their ability to predict and understand what comes next.
So if your little one asks for The Very Hungry Caterpillar for the fifteenth time this week, take it as a sign that their brain is hard at work.
